A RYT-200 and Curvy Yoga certified teacher who is passionate about making yoga accessible to all. Mary loves teaching how yoga can work for you and dispelling common yoga myths. Her goal is to create a fun, inclusive, supportive, and non-intimidating environment for others to practice yoga as a way to connect and tune into the wisdom of the body. When not practicing yoga, Mary is also pursuing graduate school part-time and enjoys traveling, photography, craft beer, and the local music scene.

How did you get started?
I took my first yoga class at Lifetime fitness a little over 20 years ago! I had practiced on and off again until I found a class that I loved about 6 years ago, and then developed a regular practice. I just completed my 200 hr teacher training last October.

What pushes you to continue?
My yoga practice is something I look forward to everyday, whether it's 5 minutes or 60 minutes. The benefits, both physical and mental, motivate me to continue.

Who was your biggest yogi influence and why?
I have so many influences, including other teachers and my students. I feel so fortunate to be a part of such a great yoga community full of awesome and inspiring people!

Favorite indulgence?
Craft beer and chips and queso!

How long teaching and in what styles?
I have been teaching for almost 9 months and teach gentle, curvy (yoga for all body types and abilities), and restorative yoga classes.
